Internship report by Nadia Wilhelm in 2011
I completed an internship at kölner institut für managementberatung from October 2010 to February 2011, which proved to be a real blessing.
It was important to me to learn how to apply psychology to the area of personnel selection and development in a comfortable working atmosphere – and this was the right place to do so. I worked as an assistant during various assessment centers for different customers and was able to participate in the design and preparation of such processes. I also had the opportunity to prepare and support training courses, and perform various work "behind the scenes". I especially liked the fact that all of the interns were treated very well, always had a contact to turn to and could do more than just watch. Instead, we were encouraged to play an active role in the company's work. Overall, I found it very interesting to see and learn how ki.m effectively uses its expert scientific methods in practice.
