[:de][:de]Who are you?
I'm Kim Sklenak, 35 years old, happily married, and the father of two children. It's hard to deny that consulting is in my blood: I started out working in customer service for a large energy provider, but I quickly found myself working as a trainer and coach in various locations. To professionalize this passion, I completed bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology, as well as a student traineeship at KI.M – and it left a lasting impression! With several exciting years in the profession and a wealth of experience in human resources, facilitating workshops, and organizing health programs under my belt, I'm returning here with great anticipation. Back to my roots, so to speak!
By the way: When I do take a break from everyday life, you can find me in our allotment garden or on my bike!
What special talent will you be bringing to our team from now on?
I'm very good with people and have strong powers of observation – perhaps due to the fact that I'm generally a good listener. I also have an affinity for sales topics, which I was able to develop in my previous professional position. Here, I worked for a B2B service provider that advises and supports clients in strategic and operational sales processes.
Mind, heart or courage – which component of K.IM consulting appeals to you most and why?
Regardless of the fact that I'm convinced of all the building blocks, there are a few things about KI.M, my colleagues, and my alumni that have always particularly impressed me: the appreciative, authentic approach to people, the constructive feedback, and communication on equal terms – these are entirely in line with my own values. Long story short: I say heart.
“Typical Kim” – What charming quirk do your colleagues like to tease you about?
I'm afraid there's a lot going on—should I really reveal it now? For example, I'm pretty good at messing up the punchlines of jokes. On the other hand, some colleagues appreciate my excellent vocal imitation of famous pop stars.
As our name suggests and the view from the office reveals, we're Cologne natives through and through. What about you? A true Jeck or a carnival hater?
As a native of Münster, I've enjoyed the fifth season since I was a child. I'm always happy to say, "We're here! That's great!" I haven't had the chance to participate in a typical carnival marathon yet, but who knows what the future holds.
