Resilience – our psychological immune system

In both our private and professional lives, we are confronted with a variety of issues that can trigger stress and uncertainty – even anxiety. Whether it is restructuring within the company, the introduction of new working models, or the stress of a shortage of skilled workers – in an environment that is constantly changing and evolving, our psychological “resilience” – Resilience. Those who can develop increased resilience benefit from it in all areas of life.

In order to protect our own employees better protect against strain and stressCompanies are increasingly integrating resilience-promoting measures into their human resources development programs. Our experience shows that it makes sense to strengthen such interdisciplinary skills in a professional context – at all levels: For individual team members as well as entire departments or managers, it is worthwhile, for example, to promote appropriate handling of stress-inducing factors. These play a major role because they directly influence our daily experiences and well-being. Sustained levels of stress can lead to burnout, anxiety disorders, and psychosomatic complaints, among other things.

First, however, you must become aware of these factors!

Possible stress-inducing factors:

Self- and time management

Lack of networking

Restructuring

Do your employees have a network they can rely on? Do they actively seek support from their colleagues? Can tasks be sensibly prioritized and distributed differently? Or does this create fear of losing control? Are all employees aware of the expertise of other team members? Does everyone know who to turn to with questions? Or is the manager available to help if they have any questions? Who can I turn to for emotional support – both professionally and personally? What conflicts and challenges arise from the restructuring of a team or department? Does a lack of transparency potentially cause uncertainty among the workforce? How can managers actively integrate their teams into the transformation process and answer any open questions?

Resilience is a skill that everyone can develop and strengthen. In a world that constantly presents us with new challenges, it is a crucial factor for our well-being and success. To strengthen the individual resilience of your employees, we establish target group-specific measures. By learning how to cope with stress and increasing your resilience, you can not only respond better to life's ups and downs but also thrive in the midst of change.

Excursus: Intercultural Resilience
We work proactively with many of our clients to improve their employees' skills. We also provide support when acute challenges arise. Currently, we see a particular need to strengthen international collaboration. Given current global events, intercultural resilience is critical for global teams: In which countries are colleagues located? Does someone live in a war zone or does family live in an affected region? Are employees under significant personal pressure, so that their workload has already been exceeded? Knowledge of the locations and circumstances of the seminar participants is crucial for us to create the necessary sensitivity for the unique situation of each individual. We examine the circumstances in advance, analyze the dynamics within international teams, and tailor the training content to suit individual needs. Our goal is always to work with the company's management to create an open, safe environment that allows for communication about concerns and fears (including private ones).

In the following blog post you will learn how we can work with you to specifically promote your resilience.
