Resilience – how we can strengthen our mental immune system

ResilienceOften described as "mental resilience," it refers to the ability to recover from setbacks, manage stress, and overcome challenges. This skill is more important today than ever. In a time when new demands and changes constantly arise in both our professional and personal lives, resilience helps us stay productive and healthy, even when external circumstances are difficult.

Through targeted resilience measures, companies can strengthen their adaptability, innovative strength, and competitiveness. Many companies have already recognized the resilience of their employees as a key strategic priority and integrated its promotion into their corporate culture:

We specifically support organizations in promoting the resilience of their employees: To create the best possible basis for collaboration, (self-)reflection of your employees is already integrated into the assignment clarification process. We ask how each employee assesses their own resilience and how it is assessed, and where there might be learning needs. With this knowledge, we create a customized training plan tailored to your company's needs.

In our seminars and trainings, we begin by addressing the topic of stress and imparting the necessary basic knowledge about the causes and effects of stress. Through discussion with participants, it quickly becomes clear which stress factors play a role for each individual. How resilient someone is and what helps them react more calmly is entirely individual. However, by addressing various Methods for building your own resilience By demonstrating this, we strengthen not only individuals but ultimately the entire group. The same applies to working with leaders, who, as their own development progresses, can respond more sensitively to their team.

We don't strengthen our resilience overnight. Fostering resilience is a process, which is why we divide our resilience training into several units and combine them with a practical phase of at least three weeks. Webinars and events provide time for shared exchange. We demonstrate methods that can reduce stress in everyday life and create an understanding of the different systems in which everyone moves in life. In plenary sessions or small groups, your employees work on tasks and exchange experiences. The first part of the training is usually followed by a practical phase in which everyone involved can practice and apply what they have learned. Progress is discussed and successes shared with assigned tandem partners. This is followed by the second part of the seminar – here we clarify any outstanding questions, summarize findings, celebrate initial successes, and discuss how participants can further strengthen their resilience in the future.

Example of the learning process in remote training

Increased resilience has a positive impact on all areas of life: Employees and employers who are aware of their own strengths can use this to their advantage and channel their energy effectively. Whether in their private lives or at work, through change processes within the company, political and intercultural challenges, or in exceptional emotional situations – our inner resilience is constantly challenged to varying degrees. We therefore always recommend creating incentives for ongoing training. We are happy to offer a follow-up practical review, in which we will review the positive and, if applicable, negative experiences of the past few months with your team. With some time between the seminar and the seminar, everyone has the opportunity to reflect on their own behavior and progress.

If individuals need to delve deeper into specific (personal or professional) topics, both employees and managers have the opportunity to take part in individual coaching sessions.
