Mona has been a competent addition to our team since January 1st. In her first few weeks at KI.M, she has already demonstrated that her professional expertise and friendly demeanor make her a great asset to our team.
Tell us more about yourself – Who are you?
My name is Mona Osenberg, I'm 28 years old, and I started working as a consultant at KI.M at the beginning of the new year. I'm passionate about business psychology—even though my career path didn't lead in that direction from the start. It wasn't until after completing my bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Cologne that I fulfilled my dream of studying psychology and completed my master's degree in business psychology at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. Throughout my studies, I was able to gain experience as an HR consultant and later in the HR partner team at a large corporate group. The focus of my master's degree, personnel psychology, ultimately brought me into contact with the exciting work at KI.M, particularly in aptitude testing. After gaining further professional experience in a management consultancy, I'm now looking forward to pursuing my passion for psychology at KI.M and supporting people in their career development and professional orientation.
Don’t be shy – how did you convince us in the interview?
I believe I was able to impress with my empathetic, authentic manner, combined with a high level of self-reflection and a strong team spirit. It's important to me to show myself as I truly am—honest, loyal, and ambitious. In my opinion, the willingness to develop professionally and personally is the first step to success—and self-reflection plays a crucial role in this.
Mind, heart or courage – which component of KI.M consulting appeals to you most and why?
The building block of heart appeals to me most spontaneously. Even though rational decisions obviously play a major role in the private sector, only with heart can we foster appreciative collaboration, find creative solutions, build connections, and strengthen resilience in the workplace. At the same time, however, it also requires courage to try new things and step out of our comfort zone, as well as intelligence to strategically and analytically find the best solution for our clients. These building blocks are therefore equally essential.
Off to the future – What technical gimmick would you invent to make your life easier at work or at home?
A self-updating to-do list! I love writing to-do lists, but how convenient would it be if they updated themselves? With automatic prioritization and intelligently suggested subtasks, you'd always stay up-to-date and well-organized. This would save a lot of time and ensure you always have an overview – even without having to manually enter or update everything.
Whether it’s a travel destination, an activity or something else – what’s at the top of your bucket list?
After completing my master's degree, I went on a backpacking trip, which included hiking in the Himalayas in Nepal. This experience further awakened my passion for hiking, and I'd love to have more such adventurous and culturally diverse experiences. At the top of my bucket list are a hike in Patagonia and climbing Machu Picchu. I'd also like to live in a temple for a while to take a yoga course. So, I still have a lot planned!
Welcome to KI.M, Mona!
