[:de]The Cologne Lights are a literal highlight in Cologne's event calendar. This time, the event was held under the motto "Offenbach & Friends" – in honor of the 200th birthday of one of the city's most famous sons. And 20 years of KI.M – a perfect opportunity to invite "KI.M & Friends" to a special anniversary evening on the roof terrace.
Despite all the forecasts, the weather proved reliable and not only made the hosts beam with joy at the reception. After all, the evening had been planned well in advance and was intended to be the thank-you centerpiece of the various events in the Anniversary year form.

Dagmar Hanewinkel and Christian Dries also emphasized their gratitude in their joint welcoming speech. Reflecting on the early years of the company's founding, the entrepreneurial courage required during growth phases, the valuable support from friends, and the special challenges facing family and career, they offered very personal words. Their thanks to their children, Charlotta and Jonathan, in particular, gave the guests goosebumps and roused them to loud applause.

There was also applause for Thomas Schlosser, who has been a consultant for KI.M since the very beginning and was therefore honored as a long-time employee: "You were and are the perfect addition to us and enjoy our blind trust," said Dagmar Hanewinkel, emphasizing his important role over the years and drawing a connection to all employees who have shaped the KI.M DNA with their personal commitment.
Even before the sky was turned, Christian Dries shared some thoughts about the future, also highlighting the simultaneous inauguration of the renovated spaces. "The KI.M is transforming: We are creating space for modern working to further position ourselves with digital topics and innovative products."
In addition to the outstanding sound of the one-man band "Mister Loop," the sparkling performance of a pyrography artist provided a first taste of the upcoming fireworks display. He conjured up quick portraits of each guest in turn using sparklers before burning a Cologne skyline onto a large screen using his special technique.

This could only be surpassed by the view of the spectacular Rhine fireworks display. Set to Offenbach's compositions, the Cologne crowd shot a total work of art into the sky, inviting everyone to marvel and even sway along in typical Cologne style.
The “KI.M & Friends” toasted the fireworks, the past, and their plans for the future with a cocktail or two until late into the night.[:]
