[:de]Once a year, the largest trade fair for digital education, the LEARNTEC, everything about Mobile Learning, Gamification, Virtual Reality and E-learning, because digital learning has long since arrived in the here and now.

We were also curious and our team “Training and development“ under the 15,600 visitors in Karlsruhe – with the mission in mind to bring as many innovative training ideas back to Cologne as possible.

On 20,000 m² LEARNTEC offers both established industry giants and numerous start-ups the opportunity to present their approaches and methods to a specialist audience. The integrated congress invites you to listen as experts discuss Artificial intelligence and ethics, Competence development intelligent companies or special learning media for different professional groups.

The Work of the future is one of the central themes of LEARNTEC 2020. The trade fair functions as a trend workshop and creates space for thought experiments. In our daily work, we consciously rely on diverse training methods and were able to take home some forward-looking ideas for the intelligent further development of our learning and training approaches.

With so much work, fun is a must. LEARNTEC future lab – an experience area for future technologies and visions of digital learning – we were able to experience the future for ourselves. Felling a tree with a chainsaw between visitors and exhibition booths is no problem at all thanks to VR headsets with state-of-the-art technology – and it's fun!

So in the future everything will be virtual and digital?
Not quite. For us as a team, the realization remains that development and personal growth arise from interaction between people. In-person training and spaces for interaction are needed to learn from and with each other. However, technological and virtual approaches can efficiently complement this to ensure the sustainable transfer of learning content into everyday practice.

The LEARNTEC 2021 takes place from 02 to 04.02.2021.
