New Work and agile methods from the intern perspective

On September 24, 2021, our eleven Young Talents put their heads together in a workshop and discussed, further developed, and tried out trending topics such as New Work and agile methods.

Adrian, Alexa, Caro, Christian, Jens, Jonathan, Linus, Marius, Max, Paula, and Pia – they are the current interns and working students at KI.Group (KI.M, KI.BIT, and KI.TEST). With their young and unbiased perspective, their insights are invaluable to us. To enable the interns to actively shape future topics, Zita Cornelius (KI.M internship coordinator) organized a workshop with PRODEVI.
The morning left plenty of time to try out agile working methods and creativity techniques hands-on: Buzzwords like "timeboxing" and "Kanban" are now definitely familiar to the eleven participants. In the afternoon, it was time to put their newly learned agile methods into practice: In two small groups, they worked on the topics of "New Work" and "Start-up Consulting." Thanks to time-limited work phases, their group work quickly evolved from a casual brainstorming session to a detailed idea factory. "I never would have thought that you could put so much on paper in 45 minutes," Christian reflects on the results.

And we, too, are thrilled with the results of the Young Talent workshop! The eleven participants are making a significant impact by promoting their optimization suggestions for New Work and agility within the KI.Group. For example, in follow-up meetings, they fleshed out how flexible mobile office use could ideally work from the interns' perspective. They more than earned the opportunity to round off the workshop with burgers and drinks!
