[:de]We're delighted that Maximilian Fischer has found his way to KI.M and has now become a permanent part of the KI.M team. Find out who's behind the friendly face, how he impressed us, and what's still on his bucket list in this interview.
Tell us more about yourself – Who are you?
My name is Maximilian Fischer, a business psychologist and aptitude tester. After spending the first ten years of my professional life in corporate management, it was clear to me that I wanted to move into consulting next. My professional background allows me to empathize particularly well with our clients' perspectives. For example, I worked for several years as a manager in the telecommunications industry. There, I was constantly concerned with how I could best support and develop my employees, whether a new applicant was suitable and would fit into the team, and how I could best involve employees in change processes. Because these topics were so exciting and important to me, I wanted to devote myself even more intensively to them in my next career step. As a highly specialized consulting firm, KI.M is the perfect employer for me to delve even deeper into these topics close to my heart.
Don’t be shy – how did you convince us in the interview?
On the one hand, I was able to impress with my specialist knowledge and personal interest in aptitude testing, human resources and organizational development, and leadership. On the other hand, I was recognized for my strong customer focus, goal orientation, and resilience. I believe this combination benefits me in my daily work as a consultant. I take great pleasure in achieving a result that satisfies everyone involved. I am happy to go the extra mile to achieve this. I am also a firm believer in the concept of lifelong learning. I find fulfillment in being able to help others—and myself—advance in their personal development.
Mind, heart or courage – which component of KI.M consulting appeals to you most and why?
Clearly, it's all about the mix! Only through this combination do we achieve first-class ideas and results. It's important to me to be fully committed to projects, to boldly push topics forward, to try out new things, and to develop smart and well-thought-out solutions. I'm pleased to see that these values don't just exist on paper at KI.M, but are lived out every day.
Off to the future – What technical gimmick would you invent to make your life easier at work or at home?
As a science fiction fan, I would invent a time machine and see what the future holds! I'm sure there are many exciting innovations to come. Although, beaming would, of course, also be very useful in our industry.😊
Whether it’s a travel destination, an activity or something else – what’s at the top of your bucket list?
Traveling is my great passion, and I've already earned 27 "country points." After spending a lot of time in Asia recently, South America is at the top of my list. I also got my motorcycle license a year and a half ago, but haven't gotten around to buying my own bike yet. So that's something I'd like to tackle in the near future.
