Inspiring exchange with the Wirtschaftsjunioren Hessen
From 14 to 16 June 2019, the State Conference of the Wirtschaftsjunioren Hessen – in short LAKO FULDA 2019 – in beautiful Fulda. Under the motto “Junior Businessmen on the pulse of timeMore than 400 participants discussed how to combine the proven virtues of entrepreneurship with new and modern thinking. In addition to committed young entrepreneurs and German business leaders, many international guests were also invited – an event that, of course, KI.M couldn't be missing.
Workshop on employee motivation
Our consultants Nils Gau and Timo Metzner were not only there as visitors, but also gave their workshop “Make them stay – how do I keep top performers in the company?“ also valuable tips on employee motivation.
In the increasingly fierce "war for talent," the battle for qualified and motivated employees, the question of employer attractiveness is becoming increasingly important. This was also reflected in the great interest and commitment of the executives and entrepreneurs who participated in the workshop.
With our compact WorkshopIn a format, Nils and Timo briefly explained the key factors of employee motivation and loyalty to interested participants. A key foundation for their work was Deci & Ryan's self-determination theory, whose three essential components are trust in collaboration, the discovery and development of competencies, and one's own creative freedom (or autonomy). In the workshop, participants not only learned about these components but also had the opportunity to experience them for themselves using various methods—a very important factor for later applying what they learned within the company.

But Nils and Timo didn't just impart their knowledge—they also learned something new: From Marc Krüger's flipchart seminar, the two gained valuable tips and tricks for designing their own training sessions.
